Spiced Chocolate Kumara Cake

Ingredients
50g cooking chocolate
1/2 cup cooked mashed kumara
100g butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
pinch salt
1/4 cup milk
TOPPING
125g cream cheese
2 tbsp liquid honey
Method
Preparation Instructions
Chop the chocolate and melt. Sieve the kumara. Cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and kumara and beat until light and fluffy. Add the melted chocolate and beat into the mixture. Sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt. Stir in the milk and add the mix to the kumara mixture.
Cooking Instructions
Pour into a greased 20 cm tin. Bake at 190 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes.
Serving Instructions
Cool and ice with the cream cheese topping.
